ROLE: Captain Nova's first officer, Chip Mathers is a young, smarmy son of a gun. Always gung-ho and ready for a fight, Chip is enthusiastic almost to a fault. His shoot-first-ask-questions-later attitude gets him in trouble sometimes when he reacts without thinking. But all-in-all, he's a solid officer and a valued asset to the Supernova crew.
