JACK SPADE

NAME: Jack Spade
ROLE: Jack is a hard-boiled private investigator who runs his own detective agency. Generally apathetic and cynical, he's a hard-hitting, hard-drinking individual with a merciless, razor sharp wit. Jack's been in the business for almost a decade and he's tired of it all, bored with all the jealous husbands asking him to tail their wives. He keeps doing it, though, because he's sure that soon enough, he'll be assigned a huge case that he'll solve and can then retire. Besides, being a detective is all he's good at. Jack works alone and always has. He's a loner, the only human being he has any regular contact with being his secretary, Katherine.
